3 Day Jinja and Sipi Falls Adventure

3 Days

Overview

This 3 Day Excursion begins with a stop at Sezibwa Falls, a serene and culturally significant site where twin streams tumble over rocks surrounded by lush greenery and spiritual lore from the Buganda kingdom. From there, the adventure continues into Mabira Forest to explore Griffin Falls, where a canopy zipline experience lets you glide above the treetops, offering breathtaking views and encounters with monkeys and exotic birds. Arriving in Jinja, the historic Source of the Nile provides a tranquil moment to witness the origin of the world’s longest river, marked by a monument and surrounded by local craft markets. The energy intensifies at Itanda Falls, a dramatic cascade of roaring rapids and rugged terrain, perfect for photography and adrenaline seekers. The ultimate thrill comes with white-water rafting on the Nile, where expert guides lead you through Grade 3 to 5 rapids, plunging through waves and whirlpools in a heart-pounding dance with nature. Between the rapids, calm stretches allow for swimming and soaking in the grandeur of the river. After the rush of Jinja, the journey ascends into the foothills of Mount Elgon to reach Sipi Falls, a stunning trio of waterfalls surrounded by coffee plantations and misty hills. Guided hikes reveal panoramic views, hidden caves, and interactions with local communities, while the main waterfall, plunging over 100 meters, offers a dramatic and serene finale.
