Itinerary

Have a morning breakfast at the hotel around Kampala, there after drive towards Murchison Falls national park, you will go through the Luwero triangle, stopover at the Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary a home to various rhinos and also en route in Masindi for lunch as you head to the Park. Check-in at the lodge and relax in the evening.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Safari in Murchison Falls National Park

Start your day with an early morning game drive in the park. Murchison Falls is one of Uganda’s largest and oldest national parks, boasting diverse wildlife including elephants, giraffes, buffalos, lions, leopards, and numerous bird species. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for a scrumptious breakfast before embarking on an exciting boat safari along the Nile River. This boat trip offers a unique opportunity to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species, including the rare shoebill stork. Enjoy the stunning views of the Falls and return to your lodge for a tranquil evening.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, depart for Kibale Forest National Park. The journey will take you through scenic landscapes and traditional villages, offering a glimpse into the local culture and lifestyle. Kibale Forest is renowned for its population of chimpanzees, as well as other primates such as red colobus monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and L’Hoest’s monkeys. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and unwind in the tranquil surroundings.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest National Park

Today, you will engage in an exhilarating chimpanzee tracking experience. Accompanied by experienced guides, trek through the lush forest in search of these fascinating creatures. As you explore the park, you will also encounter other primates, such as vervet monkeys and baboons, and a variety of bird species. The thrill of encountering chimps in their natural habitat is an experience you won’t forget. After spending a memorable time with the chimpanzees, return to the lodge for a well-deserved rest.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This forest is home to almost half of the world’s population of critically endangered mountain gorillas. Enjoy breathtaking views as you drive through the green hills of southwestern Uganda and arrive at your lodge on the edge of the forest. In the evening, relax and prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Today is the much-awaited day for gorilla trekking. After a briefing by the park rangers, set off on a thrilling trek through the dense and misty forest in search of the gorillas. The trek can range from a couple of hours to a full day, depending on the location of the gorilla families. Once you find them, spend a precious hour observing and photographing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. It is an awe-inspiring experience that will leave a lasting impact. Afterward, return to the lodge to relax and reflect on this incredible encounter.

Day 7: Departure

After a rejuvenating breakfast, bid farewell to the beautiful Bwindi Forest and begin your journey back to Entebbe International Airport. Transfer times will depend on your departure flight. As you travel, you can reflect on the unforgettable memories and unique encounters you had during your Uganda safari.
