4 Day Mgahinga Gorillas & Golden Monkeys Uganda Safari

You will be picked either from Entebbe international airport or any hotel in Kampala or Entebbe for briefing about your safari and later start your drive to Mgahinga gorilla national park the home to mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. On your way, you will have an en-route stop at Equator crossing to take memorial photos thereafter continue with your drive to Mbarara city to have lunch. After your lunch, continue with your drive to Mgahinga gorilla national to check in at reserved lodge to relax, dinner and an overnight.

After your early morning breakfast, meet your driver for a transfer to the park headquarters to meet other guests for the pre trekking briefings by the UWA ranger guide about the dos and don’ts followed during mountain gorilla trekking. Later start your forest walk in search for the mountain gorillas. During your forest walk, you may encounter other wildlife species both big and small mammals, many bird species and many others and your guide will be able to guide you about everything that you will encounter. Once you meet the mountain gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them and during this time, you are free to take as many photos as you would want and following all their movements. After your one hour has ended, go back to the starting point to pick your certificate, have refreshments and later return to your lodge for lunch and relaxing then dinner and an overnight.

Have breakfast, later transfer to the park headquarters to be briefed about the dos and don’ts during golden monkey tracking and then enter the forest look for the beautiful golden monkeys.Looking at other monkey species, golden monkeys are the most good-looking ones in appearance with their bright color of fur which is gold mixed with orange. Once you meet them, you will spend one hour of watching them and capturing as many photos as you would want  then return to the park headquarters to relax, enjoy your packed lunch and refreshments then drive Lake Bunyonyi to spend your evening relaxing, canoeing and bird watching.  Lake Bunyonyi is known as “a place of many little birds” by local communities and absolutely the best place to visit because of its beautiful view. Later have dinner and an overnight

In the morning after having your breakfast, pick your bags and check out of your lodge to start your road drive back to Entebbe international airport to meet your return flight and this will be the end of your 4 day Mgahinga Uganda gorillas and golden monkey safari.
