Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park

On your arrival at Entebbe international airport or after having breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your driver guide to be briefed about your 4 days Uganda safari and mountain gorilla trekking safari and then start your drive to Lake Mburo National Park in western Uganda. Lake Mburo national park is one of the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks but endowed with a number of wildlife species such as 68 mammals like Zebra, Eland, Impalas, Caped buffaloes, biggest number of Leopard, Spotted hyenas, Jackal, Hippopotamuses and Warthogs and many others, home base to over 350 bird species including the rare shoebill stork.

On your way to Lake Mburo national park, you will have an en-route at Kayabwe Equator landmark to watch an interesting water experiment, take memorial photos, taste our local coffee then continue with your drive to Lake Mburo national park to check in at your lodge to relax, have lunch and then go for your afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo where you will encounter numerous bird species such as shoebill stork, African fishing eagle, king fishers and many others, see many hippos, crocodiles and other mammals as they have come to drink water and swimming.

After your Uganda safari boat launch trip, return to your lodge to relax and later for your adventurous night game drive to search for the mammals that are rarely seen during day time such as Leopards, spotted hyenas, Porcupine, White-tailed mongoose, Honey badger, Serval cat, Side tripled jackal, Bush pig, Civet, Black galago and some bird species. Dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive – Transfer to  Bwindi Impenetrable Forest  National Park

Early morning after your breakfast, we head out for a morning game drive specially to search for various wildlife species Lake Mburo has to offer. At noon we drive to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park the home to half of the world’s remaining population of the endangered mountain gorillas with an en-route stop at Mbarara city to have lunch, refreshments and proceed to check in at your reserved lodge at the park. Dinner and an overnight

Day 3: Mountain gorilla trekking – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Rise up to have your heavy breakfast, meet your driver at the reception and then drive to the park information center to be briefed about the dos and don’ts to follow during mountain gorilla trekking, meeting mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is the most breathtaking wildlife experience in Africa. The time taken during searching for the mountain gorilla trekking is not known but expected to be 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on the movements and location of the gorilla family you are a located too. When you meet mountain gorillas, you spend a maximum of one hour with them, taking as many photos and asking many questions as you would want. Later, return to the starting point to have your trekking certificate, have lunch and drive to Lake Bunyonyi to spend your evening relaxing while canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi and bird watching. Lake Bunyonyi is enclosed by green-terraced hills and 29 islands scattered across the lake which gives a magnificent view.

Day 4: Lake Bunyonyi – Return to Kampala / Entebbe international airport

This day after having your morning breakfast, leave the lodge and go for your morning boat riding on Lake Bunyonyi to visit some of the Islands in the lake mostly those with the more interesting stories search as Akampene Island where the Kiga people used to take girls whom they would find pregnant before marriage and leave them there to death as a punishment and lesson to others no to do the same until they get married. After your boat ride trip embark on your return drive to Entebbe international airport or Kampala with stop en-route at the Equator to have lunch, shop souvenirs and proceed with your drive to either your hotel in Kampala city or Entebbe international airport to meet your return flight with an unforgettable wildlife experience.
